LIFE IN A CHALET

A 52-minute documentary film, written and directed by Mélanie Gribinski.
Co-produced by ALCA Nouvelle-Aquitaine and France Télévisions.

Property of the Région Nouvelle-Aquitaine and artists’ residence managed by its owner, the Chalet Mauriac is traversed throughout the year by the liveliness of its various occupants and their activities. In the five rooms, the three offices, the library and the kitchen, enigmatic scenarios are elaborated.

Their authors, caught up in the necessary confrontations with the outside world, gradually emerge from their closed quarters. Inner narratives are then unveiled to get along with each other and reveal the often elusive links between creative processes and cultural policies.
