The name serves to designate, to distinguish, to identify. The director explores the confusion created in him by the fortuitous appearance in his life of four other Hespels olive trees.
The four of them try to determine what distinguishes them and what unites them, and attempt to define the olive tree-hespels. This absurd quest is an opportunity to unravel in images and sounds the many threads that weave the intimate and social link to our name, this fundamental part of our identity that constitutes the name.
