With the women in my family, I organize a complicated move, during the second lockdown, after the death of my father and several relatives, to a village in northern Italy, one of the areas most affected by the pandemic when it begins in 2020. Grief and tension accumulate like the things to throw away that no one dares to touch. But when you arrive with several boxes at the village dump, you almost feel the air of a neighborhood café, you chat, you meet people, you sort out the waste and the emotions. Through the forgotten objects and abandoned places, I observe the emotional memory of my family and mine, to understand the mourning, for a need of transmission, and succeed in making the emptiness.
